Project title: Security system at Dean House for ITC Concepts
Tight Control
Dean House is made up of a number of commercial offices let out to start-up companies. With the turn around of tenants expected to be high, Camden Council was not prepared to relinquish control of its electronic security services to individual companies.
Being a community project, there were limited funds to install fire alarms, CCTV, access controls and intruder alarms at the property in Camden. There was therefore no room for surprise costs whether incurred due to lateness or additions to specifications.
Flexible Solution with Rigid Parameters
Flexibility in the system was created to enable central control for all tenanted areas, whilst allowing occupant’s free movement, yet keeping their assets were totally secure.
A tight specification was researched and approved, which included: a fire alarm system for the entire building; CCTV along corridors and fire escapes; access controls for common areas and for individual tenants; and an intruder alarm. All these services were controlled by one central, integrated system.
A rigid programme of works was derived at and diligently kept to for the installation and commissioning of all monitoring and control equipment.
