Established in 1982 with the name of Terotechnologically Engineered Advanced Maintenance Limited, this was soon shortened to TEAM Limited and split into two arms, one to handle maintenance and the other installation projects. Additional services followed in line with market requirements, to incorporate fire and security, electrical testing and energy services.

The Aurora brand was created to offer specialist services to facility managers requiring individual maintenance and installation services. In 1997, Team Q was acquired by Turner & Co (Glasgow) Limited, a privately controlled group of autonomous companies. The Turner Group is engaged in the supply and servicing of equipment, as well as the provision of comprehensive support services, across a wide range of industries. Currently Team Q employs a combination of around 200 technicians, managers, engineers and administrative staff. These are based in teams mainly in the south east of England, various locations throughout Scotland and for specific projects round the world. Offices and teams of engineers can also be located in other areas as a direct response to customer requirements. With a stable work force, continuity of operations can be assured and previous experience can be used to improve services for the future.
